1 Information We Collect

We collect NO personal information. We do not require accounts, logins, email addresses, names, or contact numbers to use Recite. All features, recitation tools, and app settings operate locally on your device.

2 Location Data & Permission Usage

Recite requests Location permissions (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION and ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) strictly to calculate accurate local Prayer Times and Qibla Direction on your device.

• On-Device Calculation: Location coordinates are processed exclusively on your device using standard mathematical algorithms.
• No Tracking or History: Your location is never logged, stored persistently, or transmitted to any server or third party.
• Optional Feature: If location permissions are denied, you may manually select your city or calculation method.

3 Local Storage & Data Security

Any preferences you save in the app (such as bookmarked surahs, reciter preferences, font sizes, or notification alarms) are stored strictly locally using device storage (AsyncStorage). This data remains on your physical device and is automatically removed if you uninstall the app.

4 Notifications & Audio Playback

The app requests permission to schedule local notifications for prayer alerts and daily recitation reminders. These notifications are scheduled locally on your device without any external push server. Audio playback permissions are used solely to stream or play Quran recitations selected by you.

5 Third-Party Services & Ads

Recite does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs, tracking frameworks, or analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or Firebase Tracking) that profile user activity.

6 Children's Privacy

Recite is safe for users of all ages, including children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any personal data from any user, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7 Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
